8-12 GHz widwband amplifier design with ads

录入:edatop.com    点击:
I've been assigned to design a wideband amplifier with feedback procedure for 8-12 GHz. The amplifier should have a flat gain in the range of 8-12 GHz. The Simulation sofware is ADS. I need a tansistor appropriate for that. Please note that the tr shoul not be a power onel.

Who can suggest me the best transistor?

yu didnt state what sort of gain you were after or what sort of power levels you required ?

The FMM5061VF MMIC is a very good choice rated 2W across 9.5 - 13.3GHz prob still have usable gain at ~ 8GHz.
I have used a number of these on 10.3GHz excellent device and very easy to use.

Dave

the gain should be high so I can flatten it by feedback technique. the tr is not a power one. the simulation should be in small signal region. thanks alot for your help.
Can you suggest me another transistor?

actually I don't want a ready wideband transistor. I want an ordinary one in x band and I wanna make it broadband.

That's wrong, you are designing a PA then you have to perform large signal simulation even the power level is low. Large signal simulation (HB) is not related to power level, I assume the transistor is working in its saturation region.

I know this fact that we can design PA even that power level is low. But my case is designing a wideband amplifier with small signal simulation using feedback technique in x band. Is there any appropriate transistor for this case?
