These packed workspaces are only for ADS2011 or later.
Old ADS versions (2009 and earlier) use completely different file types for the designs. You can import the old files into new ADS versions, but you can't use the new files in old ADS software.

easy, to open a 7zads file with ADS (version 2015/2016/2017....), only go on File/Unarchieve/ (choose the .7zads file and open it.......)...i guess, there is not any to do......
