Job Title: Design Manager, WirelessProducts
Location: Shenzhen, China
Summary: Manages the design of RF/mixed-signalcircuits, including design capture, layout, test, evaluation and debugging ofprototype ICs and design support for mass production.
Essential Functions:
·
Managesa team of RF/mixed signal design engineers and directs the activities of thisteam.
·
Managesthe development of innovative new designs for patenting or protecting as tradesecret.
·
Workswith other design sites for join development when applicable.
·
Workswith marketing and applications teams to promote technical vision of products.
·
Provideshands-on technical leadership and training for design staff.
·
Communicatestechnical information and schedules to senior members of the management team.
·
Attendsdesign reviews to provide input and monitor the quality and effectiveness ofdesign reviews.
·
Overseesdesign validation by laboratory measurements to assure technical objectives aremet.
·
Researchesdesign techniques through technical publications and seminars.
·
Conductsannual performance reviews of subordinates.
·
Recruits,selects, develops, and motivates the best engineers to ensure efficientoperation.
·
Receivesassignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources tomeet schedules and goals.
·
Providesguidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies.Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediateorganization(s).
Qualifications:
·
M.S. EEwith minimum 5 years of industry experience
·
Chineseand English language proficiency required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
·
Strongknowledge of engineering fundamentals
·
AdvancedAC/DC, signal and system analysis skills (poles, zeros, compensation)
·
Advancedknowledge and skills in CMOS transistors level circuit design
·
Advancedparasitic analysis knowledge (capacitance, inductance, resistance, power grid)
·
AdvancedMOS Device modeling skills (noise, excess thermal noise, DIBL)
·
Advancedunderstanding of layout techniques and tradeoffs
·
Knowledgeof modern CMOS fabrication processes
·
Knowledgeof digital design and design flows
·
Knowledgeof basic communication theory
·
Advancedlaboratory measurement skills (analog, RF)
·
Advancedworking experience in two or more of the following areas
Knowledgeof MS Office documentation, spreadsheet and presentation tools
·
Good Englishwritten and verbal presentation skills
