Crashing ADS 2011.10 leads to 'locked' schematics/layout files

This has happened a few times. I'll crash ADS and then reload it to try accessing the layout/schematic I was working on and I'll get the following error:

This makes the layout/schematic inaccessible. Sometimes it only happens for some of the items in a cell. Usually it seems like copying the entire cell and pasting it might fix it. It's an annoyance though and I haven't found any solutions. Any ideas?

When you open any schematic, layout or symbol view ADS creates a lock file in the library folder for that cell view. If ADS exits abnormally for any reason then that lock file, which is normally removed when the view is closed, does not get deleted. When you then try to reopen the design with the leftover lock file then this sort of problem may occur.

In any file explorer tool browse into the workspace folder, then the "test_lib/test/symbol" folder (or whatever path is listed in the error message) and locate the file with the extension .cdslck and delete that file. Repeat for any other cell views as required. Once all cdslck files are removed you should then be able to open appropriate views without error.

I tried the method you suggested but when I reopen the layout and start EM Simulation that ".cdslck" file is getting created again and I'm getting error "Cannot start the simulation because the presence of the lock directory".Could you please help with this ?
