CST2013: Selected Object
An object may be selected either by double-clicking on it in the Main Plot Window or by selecting it in the Navigation Tree. Afterwards, the solid is visualized in the main plot window, while all other solids are displayed transparently. You have the option of deleting the selected solid by just renaming it or (un-)hide it in the working plane.
Press the CTRL key or the SHIFT key to select multiple shapes.
Various possibilities exist for modifying the selected solid(s) or obtaining some information:
Perform a transformation (translate, scale, rotate, mirror):
Select Transform... in the context menu, or select the corresponding button in the Modeling: ribbon tab.Perform an alignment (with positioning) relative to other solids:
Select Align... in the context menu, or in the Modeling: ribbon tab.Change the associated component:
Select Change Component ... in the context menu.Change its associated material (material type, parameters and visualization):
Select Change Material ... in the context menu.Receive object information (name, dimension, volume, mass, facet representation):
Select Info... in the context menu.Change its mesh properties (PBA? or staircase model,mesh priority, local mesh refinement):
Select Local Mesh Properties... in the context menu.Change the material properties of the associated material:
Select Material Properties ... in the context menu.Change its properties by editing the history tree:
Select Properties... in the context menu.Add/Subtract/Intersect/Insert/Imprint it with another solid by selecting one of the corresponding buttons in the Modeling: ribbon tab.
Pick Points/Edges/Faces on it by choosing the corresponding button in the Modeling: ribbon tab..
Perform a bend sheet operation to wrap a planar sheet around a solid.
