CST2013: Special Thermal Transient Solver Settings

This dialog box offers the possibility to define special settings for the thermal transient solver.
PTCs without Sources
Select if PTC solids without an assigned source definition carry a fixed temperature value or a floating temperature value.
Bioheat
Select if biological material properties should be taken into account for the thermal simulation (blood perfusion coefficient and basal metabolic heat rate).
Blood temperature
Define the reference temperature for the blood perfusion mechanism.
Timestep settings
Automatic
Activates the automatic time stepping. Note: Deactivate this setting only if problems with the solver occur.
Minimum step width
If the automatic time stepping is disabled, the minimum solver time step can be set here.
Maximum step width
If the automatic time stepping is disabled, the maximum solver time step can be set here.
Initial step width
If the automatic time stepping is disabled, the initial time step can be set here.
Maximum steps
If the automatic time stepping is disabled, the maximum number of time steps can be set here. This setting allows to limit the total computation time very effectively.
OK
Accepts the changes and closes the dialog.
Cancel
Closes this dialog box without performing any further action.

Shows this help text.
