CST2013: Defining Anchor Points

录入:edatop.com     点击:

Anchor Points are used to describe special geometrical points on a model. For example pins on PCB or holes for screws in a housing. They do help to set up SAM projects by offering a way to align multiple blocks with the Anchor point alignment feature.

Anchor points consist of a position and an orientation. In this regard, they are very similar to local coordinate systems. Hence  the working coordinate system is used to define an anchor point:

  • Place the WCS at the desired position and make sure the orientation is correct.

  • Right click onto the tree entry "Anchor Points" and select  "Store current WCS as anchor point...".
