HFSS15: Access Near Field External Data File

In this section we will show how to access a source of near field which is imposed on a target design through a data file. Instead of using a Linked Design as a source for a near field you can also use a data file to impose the near field upon your target project. Do this as follows:

1. Go to HFSS>Excitations>Assign>Incident Wave>Near Field Wave.

The Incident Wave Source : General Data dialog box appears.

2. Click Next to access the near field wave options.

3. Select the External Data File radio button and browse your computer to access the *.and file, which describes the near field data to be used.
